What happened on September 19, 2006 was the following. The site was attacked by a ddos attack and also a mysql dumper attack. The IP of the hacker has been turned over to the police. I will post further notice if there is any. The site is up and running usual now.

I would bet anything it was a low life from a rival site. I can think of a couple sites in particular.

I say forget the police. Its personal and all PPCW members deserve a shot at this POS.

Two possibilities: either rival pocket pc warez site like uplot.nl (though I doubt it was them) or a developer who really dosent like us (like Anton Tomov). Either way, the police wont do any harm even if we are a warez website. They have been notified about a hacking attempt and the IP and its not their job to judge what was been hacked and decide whether they should look into it or not.

I'm still having problems accessing the site. I can navigate through the forum but when I click on a post I don't see anything but a box where the post should be. I have to click "reply" and read the post off of the bottom of the page.

Apparently it's not happening to anyone else as I haven't seen it mentioned, I'll delete my cookie from here and see if that helps.

Apparently my problem had something to do with the cookies added here by ads.clicksor.com, once I deleted those everything was back to normal.

It's always darkest before the dawn.... so if you're going to steal your neighbor's newspaper that's the time to do it.

The ads are also causing a slow down of the site's loading speeds. Most likely they will be removed if something better can be found.

I was going to mention that when I click View new Posts, I am now getting pop-ups, mostly auto related sites. Is this still a leftover of the attack?
