I have moved the bootanimation.zip to both data/local as well as system/media, and it's still not showing after restart. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks... I read through it and none of the tips have gotten me any further.
I just posted this on that other thread:
"Okay, I've been trying this for about an hour now...
I have a stock TMobile myTouch 4G. I downloaded the "with bee" file that was recently uploaded.
My stock boot animation is "TMUS_bootanimation.zip", and it is in system/resources/customize. I've renamed the bee file "TMUS_bootanimation.zip" and put it in the same location as the TMobile one, set permissions, restart, and it overwrites my file.
I've also tried deleting TMUS_bootanimation.zip from the "customize" folder, and putting bootanimation.zip (with bee) in system/media, as well as in data/local. It either overwrites the "with bee" zip with the TMUS copy, or deletes it.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong, I'd greatly appreciate some help though!! The bootscreen looks amazing!
EDIT: btw, I'm using Root Explorer to do all of this; just downloaded Android commander but I dont know how to use it."
