One of the main improvements in the WinZip version is the absence of restrictions on the size of files sent by e-mail. Now users will be able to send archives up to 2 GB in size via the Internet. Even having an appropriate limit set by the postal service provider will not be a major hindrance. The archiver is tightly integrated with the ZipSend service, which allows you to organize the storage of a large file online and provide the addressee with a direct download link. Users don't have to interrupt their work and launch a separate application to send a compressed file. Special mention should be made of the ability to quickly publish files (up to 20 MB) on the Facebook site directly from the archiver interface.
Thanks to the updated data compression engine, the new version of WinZip guarantees the most efficient use of the resources of 64-bit processors. Compressing and decompressing data is now much faster than in previous versions. And improved preview tools will allow you not only to familiarize yourself with the contents of the Zip archive, but also to study and edit files in other popular formats such as 7z and RAR. In addition, users will be able to convert archives in different formats to Zip format, as well as burn files created with WinZip 18 to Blu-ray optical media.
The application includes a useful new tool WinZip System Scanner, designed to scan the system in order to assess disk performance and diagnose potential problems. The program will quickly detect flaws and allow you to use one of the third-party utilities to fix them.
