Bump

Still can't find it cracked anywhere. Even if it's not to take me up on the offer, does anybody know why that particular piece of software is so difficult to find?

Sounds like a fun challenge, I'll come back to you if I'm able to crack it.

Whew, one answer at last! Frankly it's been driving me mad. I've used up Eagle's 30 days trial and it was such a blast. Everyone online seems to agree it's an excellent piece of software. Yet no crack anywhere? No tips for resetting said trial? Unbelievable.
I don't know if you'll actually do it, but at any rate, thank you for considering it!

Bump

I've got two and a half questions:
1) Is there a limit on the number of bumps one can give ?
2) Is there actually anyone interested in this one piece of software beside myself? Or has there just been a trick for unlocking it that I wasn't aware of, so that engineering a cracked version was made useless?

(@FRiEDMiND I apologize in case you've been working on it, I'm still hopeful but also feel a bit helpless in finding a cracked version...)

Sorry, I've been really inactive.

For anyone wondering how to do it, you can first of all:
1. With npm install asar (npm install -g asar)
2. asar extract (link to electron app/app-version/resources/THEASARHERE) (path on where to extract (note this will be extracted in that folder you chose)
3. Use vscode (open cmd in that folder then type code .)
4. Look in code (if you are lucky, you might find the devtool key combo! If you find the devtool is deactived, something like this: devtools !0x1 remove the "!"
5. Either use the devtools to do what you want, or just search with "CTRL + SHIFT + F" in vscode :)
6. Now, when you are done, pack your folder BACK to .asar and replace the .asar original file. BE SURE TO BACKUP THIS IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG
7. This should work! :D

Note: I'm gonna try working on it today. If anything goes wrong or I'm not able to, I will let you know! (This time I will be more active)

Forgot to mention, you can prettify the file by "copy path" on the .js file in vscode, go to chrome then paste that path. go to "sources" go to the js file and then hit the "prettify" button (should be a bracket like logo/icon) then paste that prettified code back to vscode and save!

Hello FRiEDMiND!

No worries about being inactive, I do get what it's like to have lots of stuff to do :? (see, it's only just now that I've seen your reply...)
In any case, I wasn't expecting a step-to-step tutorial to cracking the stuff, and it's a good surprise! I'll admit I'm a bit unfamiliar with what you're describing, but since I'm curious, I'll try my hand at it and look into following the steps.
Even on the off-chance that I succeed (and unlike yours, my chances in doing so are slim), don't worry about getting the WRZ$ I owe you! You definitely deserve them for helping out and I'm thankful that you even considered doing so.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Eagle 3.0 build 43 patcher.

Keep in mind this patch is only suitable for build 43 (which is no longer current, but the difference should be abysmal). Attaching the proper build and the patcher.

Before the installation, I would highly suggest firewalling their authorization/telemetry server. The screenshot for ESET settings is attached. You'll have to google on how to do it with other means. That said it should work without blocking. But it might trigger their curiosity at some point and the less they know about the crack, the longer this method will live.

Steps:
1) Block the server
2) Install Eagle
3) Extract the contents of the patcher.zip to Eagle's installation (all files should be sitting next to the Eagle.exe)
4) Run patcher.exe
5) Done

I'm not here for the WRZ$, so just keep the account @SasbayWidda and enjoy the awesome tool.

Hello, @pointerToObject!

First things first, thank you very much for your interest in cracking Eagle, and in Eagle in general! It is indeed a great piece of software with incredible potential that I didn't let myself dig enough into because of the 30-days limit (I didn't want to start organizing my stuff in it too much, knowing I couldn't use it long term...).

It's a relief to finally get a glimpse of a crack. I'm thankful that you took time to create one and give clear, step-by-step instructions! But I regret to tell you that it's not working on my end, even after several attempts.

1. Before installing, I did block the 120.79.10.37 (Shenzhen) remote server using two firewalls: Netlimiter, as well as the one included with my antivirus (I created a rule using your template).
2. Then I installed Eagle, making sure beforehand that all leftover files from a previous installation were gone (e.g. "Eagle" in AppData/Roaming", modifications to registry, etc.; I used Revo Uninstaller for that cleaning part).
3. Before even allowing Eagle to run after installation, I pasted the patcher's unzipped content in Eagle's root directory (the one with Eagle.exe indeed), and successfully ran patcher.exe.
4. Yet when I ran Eagle it displayed the usual "Trial expired" window.

Some extra remarks:
  • I tried repatching, but according to your patcher, "file appears to be already properly patched". I tried removing, reinstalling, and repatching, with no better luck.
  • At some point, attempts to run Eagle would only result in the following error message: "Unable to open because the system lacks the necessary .dll files.[2]" (That's when I'd try repatching, or reinstalling, etc.)
  • Note that Eagle doesn't only require access to the 120.79.10.37 remote server, but also to three other addresses in San Francisco (192.168.147.71:53 ; 104.26.8.201:443 ; 172.67.68.6:443). I don't know to what extent they're relevant to licensing, but as expected, if I block everything, Eagle gives me a No Network error message ("You must connect to the internet when running the App for the first time.").

In short, I might be doing something wrong, but I really can't fathom how... Any suggestions?

Thanks for your detailed research @SasbayWidda. Yeah, most of the servers Eagle communicates with, are their generic communities like blogs, plugins, etc. So those shouldn't be troublesome.

It sets a couple of piratish flags that I have patched, but it looks like there is more to it and I'd have to simulate the behavior of running Eagle with an expired trial, as mine never had such an opportunity.

I'll let you know when I have an update on the case.
