I'm about to buy a htc 7 mozart as T-Mobile Germany doesn't offer any other wp7 devices yet.
But there are some facts against the mozart..
Currently Android is running on my TD2, what -on the one hand- makes me want to buy a real Android device..
but on the other hand there are wp7 devices available.

The Desire with AMOLED display compared to the Mozart has some slightly better battery lifetime,
but can someone tell me something about the SLCD version of the desire? The battery lifetime should be worse,
but I can't find some results / data for this version of the device.

Separate from the fact, that the desire is a 'quite old' device, is it worth to buy anyway?

Last: Has anyone experience with sim unlocking the devices?

Tested WindowsPhone7 today.. => it's nothing special for me, a bit boring and unspectacular.
As against this the desire is "fresh" and customizable, an open OS and offers widgets..
Yes some of you might like WP7 more than android, but please don't tell me I'm wrong with my opinion^^

So.. can anyone tell me the differences between SLCD and AMOLED displays in view of power consumption?

android has tomany OS vershions and like 3 app stores and its a pain in the ass!! and each Android phone ahs diffrent updates , meaning some aps only work on SOME android phones..( witch is a PAIN IN THE ARS!! lol for me any ways )

Also Wp7 can be customized as much as Android ( i think u dint play with it long enought )
Wp7 = more stable OS

Also keep in mind android has been out for what 2 years now?? wp7 has been out for 3 dayz? lol ALOT more is comming , they just wanted to come out with the MOST stable OS on launch day. Also the Wp7 are WAY more powerfull then android giving them MORE potential.

if u have a X-box with Xbox Live : NO QUESTION get a WP7 cross platform with X-box,Wp7 AND your Windows PC ( witch is AWSOME )

honestly i suges geting the OMNIA FOCUS ( omnia 7 ) (wp7 ) with the SUPER AMOLED + scrash resistant = AWSOME!!!!!

Im with BELL here in canada , but im gona buy the FOCUS from ROGERS and unlock it and to bring it to bell , i was told it was easy to do ( i hope they right )

PS: A.M.O.L.E.D = is KNOWN to have a 30% MORE battery Life then any other touch screen phones , with WP7 doh , expect the charge it ocne every 2 dayz ATLEASE ( every day with any other Wp7 )
