Whether it's Chevron unlock or developer unlock, both will also not work until you have applied an interop unlock after Chevron or Developer unlock.

I have a legit dev unlock and had to interop unlock it before most apps would work.

You can supposedly get it on any unlocked phone.

Do a simple google search about Interop Unlock, there's a thread about it at XDA.

I am under the understanding is that when you Chevron Unlock for the $9, you can then fully unlock your phone by running a xap/modifing reg. entries to unlock somewhere over at XDA. You can then do the interop unlock as well. Is this not valid?

This would seem like a much simpler solution for those who bought a Mango'd phone and don't have access to a Pre Nodo rom to go back and 'pass' the unlock from Nodo, to mango, etc.

Looks great but I don't want to bother installing a custom ROM just to use it...

The custom ROM is the main reason why people are avoiding installing 'Bazaar' on their unlocked devices, otherwise 'Bazaar' is great although it is not needed at the moment because the tweaks are not that essential and it doesn't provide cracked apps just homebrews and the apps which were rejected by the Marketplace. BTW post in the above mentioned link is written by me.
