It looks like it's for Samsung devices at the moment , but I think they're working on others such HTC ,LG , ex...

I read that on the LG E900 , with some easy registry edits , you can unlock your phone ?
With the APPMFG.

I did it and deployed also games , but i wanted to know if there is a difference

It's the same. It basically makes you device developer unlocked. I'm not sure if this method provides interop unlock or not.
