I am getting this message when I try to use MegaUpload in non-premium mode...

We have detected an elevated number of requests from your IP address.
This may be caused by improperly designed third-party software.
A temporary access restriction is in place. Please check back in 22 minutes or log in using your premium account.

I wonder if Megaupload is doing a Rapidshare and making it difficult to use their service (so we have to pay for a premium account)?

Because I haven't used Megaupload in 'free' mode for ages, so their error message is clearly BOGUS. It reminds me of the bogus messages we get from Rapidshare.

Are we losing megaupload to this sort of nonsense too? Anyone else had this problem?

I created a free account 3 days ago and have uploaded about 30 files since with no such message, however these have all been pretty small so chances are that my free account activity isnt enough to warrant such a message. That message suggests that it would be displayed according to IP requests though and I'm sure there's been plenty of those on my behalf over the last 3 days. I'll let you know if that pops up...................

Megaupload has made it increasingly difficult for me to d/l stuff off it... and rapidshare = impossible. Ditto for depositfiles.
For now, I'll stick with ifile, mediafire, and letitbit - they work all the time.
Until, of course, those, too, go the rapidshare way.

I stopped using MU only because it takes FOREVER to upload to the site, since I do a lot of movies it takes awhile.
RS is nice and quick I can upload a full movie within 30 mins.
I have never experienced this issue when I was using MU
Regardless I feel the Premium account is VERY useful, and worth it anyways.
