Why do the apostrophes and quotation marks disappear in some ebooks? I'm using the Liberty app. Is there a way to fix this?

It's really annoying to read "hell" when it's supposed to be "he'll", or not know when a character begins or ends speaking.

Sounds like a bad conversion, you should ask the poster for a better copy.

if you are sure the apostrophe is in the file (check with a text editor) try to convert it (into the same format!) in calibre. Calibre is extremely good in straightening ebook files.
