Towards the bottom of the article:
I've been a member of newzbin for over 5 years...even though their retention sucked, (only ~240 days, whereas giganews now goes back 600 days) they were the best groups indexer by far. Setting up search watchdogs were great too, they let me know the minute anything I was looking for was available.
I just hope that judgments like these don't make it harder for any kind of link-based sites like ppcw to stick around.

What’s particularly interesting about this case, along with the Pirate Bay case, is that it looks as though the defence that you’re not actually hosting the content doesn’t hold a lot of water in court any more.
