Why by PM, why not post here?

PM-s are easily noticeable by the staff, while it takes more time to read the posts on various threads.

I think def234 was asking why the instructions were sent via PM instead of shared here.

Yes, and I already said that instructions (meaning informing the staff of what is going on) sent via PM are a more direct way to reach the staff than having them post in various threads. Particularly if it involves names of users and links to topics.

You did not say anthing like that.

Merry60 said "Instructions sent via pm." with no other explanation. There is no way the word "instructions" means " informing the staff of what is going on". Now you have offered a clarification of what Merry60 said, albeit in a most innacurate and defensive manner.

This is a free talk forum, even though titles like "Many fake uploaders now in forum!" and "Virus? Malicious files?" have simple explanations and could have been avoided by browsing around the site a bit. Everybody is free to say what they want in Free Talk, except give me the names of said 'fake uploaders' or links to said 'malicious files' here, in public. The original poster asked "administration please do something about these fake uploaders with there fake virus uploads." So administration did something and instructions were sent.

I have been given many names and many links to check and I still have to see the first of the Many fake uploaders now in forum! and the first of the Virus? Malicious files? if the instructions to download are followed. Instructions that we have placed all over the site, particularly in the eBook Help Desk and with unmistakable titles like .exe or Virus warning after downloading an app, ebook etc. What else can I say, something about horses and water?
