I'd have to disagree on that. All phones (including the iphone) look like the LG Prada which came out before the iphone was even introduced

All of the major smartphones are rectangular thin black touch screen devices with minimalistic designs and bezels so of course they're going to look similar unless someone makes a circle phone or the touch screen fad goes out of style.

Why are all software trying to mimic what Iphone does? I dont wanna slide to unlock.. one day will come when all phones will look the same with same today screen and software.. no creativity.. companies have stopped releasing new games and software for WM now..

The most destructive thing about this iphone mania... are the missing physical keys in new phones that are coming out..

It feels good to press the key than tap the flat screen .. i prefer key like in IPAQ 614c or ASUS P740.. than tapping the screen.

All these new phones are unnecessarily big and hideous and over-flashy ..

Actually, the iPhone has driven a lot of enhancements in the WM world. Do you think HTC would be where it's at right now without the iPhone? I highly doubt it.

You can blame Microsoft for crappy or lack of development from Windows Mobile. Hopefully that'll change with Windows Phone.

A day will come when all phones will look exactly the same, iphone and windows mobile iphone... inside or outside.. it all will be the same..

And if one wants his phone to look like iphone, than why buy a Windows mobile phone and install a software to make it look like iphone..? just buy an iphone already like rest of the sheep.

After the pending release of WM7 (which is nothing more than another company trying to clone Iphone) i would have no other option than to switch to blackberry, coz obviously all new software and gaming development (or even upgrades) for existing WM phone version have completely died in last one year.

It's about a million times easier to buy a phone and theme it to make it look like the iphone because although the iphone is reasonably priced, AT&T's network isn't up to par with sprint's or even verizon's. If apple took the iphone to verizon and gave it a keyboard I would get it in a heartbeat but as of now, I can't get AT&T. I used to have it for about a month before I had to return my phone since I didn't have a good signal in my own house.

Anyway this is not a bad idea to clone the best.

The iphone stimulated a lot of great development in the mobile phone market. Yes, in some cases it caused a sacrifice of options for the sake of simplicity, but in general its undeniable that its success forced other companies to improve to compete, and stimulated software development. The reason WM did not progress as much is because WM is losing market share to the iphone and android. The iphone and general success of mobile technology lately still created more interest in WM, but given the massive growth of these other platforms WM's seems fickle in comparison.

I don't understand why people always need to complain about companys, they are all good in one way or another... If we only had one of them, that company wouldn't need to work so hard to improve it, becaus it would have 100% of all users anyway... But now they need to bring us the best of the best all the time
