So it seems that every book I request at the moment. (Perhaps that is an exaggeration, but it seems that way) I get a polite message telling me that postings for this author is not allowed because of copyright complaints.
My request is deleted. We aren't even allowed to request it????
Why is this happening? Surely most of the content of Mobilism, especially ebooks is copyright material and subject to the same complaint? Not allowing certain authors (The number is growing) is surely making the site a little pointless. Usually the case is, the book is posted, complaint is received via DMCA and the book is taken down.
Surely to not post it at all because of a previous complaint, or just in case there is a complaint is defeating the whole object.
What is everyone's take on this and what is Mobilism's reason?

No, Publishers seem to be only interested in their money makers ( understandably so )

And you make sure it doesnt happen again

Depends on how deep your pockets are- softly, softly is a better policy

As a receiver of a few DMCA requests I take their threats ( very nicely put usually ) seriously and I do try to
buy as many as I receive. Afterall the book is available to purchase.

I buy quite a few as well. I also understand that a book has to be taken down after a DMCA request. What I can't understand is why with an increasing number of authors, you can't even request a book. So in effect, the book is not posted even before a DMCA request!

Imagine you post a book. There is a complaint. You do it again. And again. Don´t you think at some point the powers that be say: Hey, we had to send to that site X complaints and they do it all over again. They don´t listen and there get a lot of other books posted too, let´s shut them down. Duh. Who want´s that?
Better to not post a few authors than have mobi closed down for good.
