You know, if you reach a certain amount of Reward Points on MegaUpload you can get $$$ rewards. I have two questions for someone that has used the service or knows more than me:

1. Do points you earned while using free account qualify for getting the cash rewards? You have to be a premium user (and have an account you actually paid for, not that you got through reward points) to get the cash. But is it OK to just get a premium account once you've got all the reward points you want?

2. Do they check if your files are against the ToS before giving you the money?

1. Points earned on a free account can be collected and used to create a premium account. They CAN NOT be redeemed for cash. Cash is a Premium Member perk only. And any file larger than 100MB on your account does not accure points.

2. If they checked their files, they would be out of business. Warez uploaders keep them in business as much as they would like not to admit in public. So it's a don't ask, don't tell policy just like Rapidshare. You'll figure this if your account is ever stolen and upon contacting customer service, they graciously hand it back to you.

I now have a free account, so I'm earning points that are only good for getting a premium account? But that premium account wouldn't be good for getting cash? That's bad news...

The premium account will give you cash.

You just have to use your Free Points to create a Premium Account before you can get any premium benefits from it. I just meant you can not redeem free points for cash. You need to upgrade your account first.

However, you need to have at least one valid purchase to qualify for a payment. In order to redeem points for money, you must have obtained your premium membership through PayPal.
