I've got a question for you experts. I have ATT and have been using HTC phones for several years now, starting with an 8125 and now a TILT2 and have had everything in between. I obviously am used to windows operating system and prefer it but I am on my fourth warranty TILT2 and ATT offered another TILT2, HTC ARIA, SAMSUNG CAPTIVATE, or BLACKBERRY BOLD 9700. I've been reading various reviews and cant decice which phone to get. I like being able to install anything I want and change anything thats already there, like modifying opera to open seven windows. I would appreciate any feedback as to which is the best, most versatile phone. Even phone not on the list would be fine. I can just get the most expensive one they have and sell it to buy something else. Thanks

Thanks for the info. Now I may have just screwed myself. Called ATT, asked for the phone. This person said I couldnt have it, I could only have the Blackberry. I said I dont want it. called back, spoke to someone else, she said I couldnt have any of them, only another Tilt2. Went to the ATT store and complained. They called, and ATT agreed to give me a captivate but it wouldn't have a battery, battery door, or any accessories. I agreed, thinking I would just buy it all online. I cant find a battery door anywhere. Now my question has changed. Does anybody know where I can get a Battery door for the I897 Captivate? Please.

You DEFINITELY didn't go wrong with the Captivate. I'm really looking into this device and I'll also be calling AT&T because I'm having issues with my Tilt2. I'm in the same boat as you, I've had all the HTC phones since the 8125 and I think it's time to ditch HTC.

Got it. went to another att store, explained the situation and yhey GAVE me everything from a returned phone. Thanks for your suggestions. now I got my captivate

Give me some tips on what you did to sell them. I'm trying to sell them to send me the Captivate instead of my Tilt2 as well.

I think its a matter of talking to the right person. The first person I spoke to offered it, The next four refused. One was even a "resolution specialist" who I finally threatned to take my $1300.00 a month I spend on ATT to Sprint, He offered to transfer me to the cancellation department. Eventually I went to a third party ATT Connect store that made the call and had it in about fifteen minutes. I think it just boils down to who you talk to, We know they CAN do it you just need to be persistant until you find someone WILLING to do it.

Was it a new Captivate or a refurbed? Also, how many Tilt2s did you go through? I'm about to go through my 3rd after i call today and idk if that's enough.

I'd get that device if it were GSM too, however I'm not switching to Sprint just to get it.

AT&T has me only hold (for like 10 minutes now) to talk with some manager to see if I can get this Captivate. They're so stubborn >:O

i got ya i just so happen to be on sprint so obviously its the best choice. If i was on at&t or verizon i would probably get the droid 2 or the Galaxy s phones on there service or iphone.

Ya maybe discount eh? Ive heard AT&t has some of the worst customer service out of all the service providers.
