That's what I'm trying to do. I've been on hold for over 20 minutes now; I'm so putting that against them. I'm going to bash them once this manager picks up.

Ya maybe discount eh? :D Ive heard AT&t has some of the worst customer service out of all the service providers.

Tell me about it. The lady put me on hold for the manager and NEVER came back. I was on the phone for 51 minutes and 59 seconds. It's all good though, more excuses and complaining for me to get that Captivate :\

I went through three warranty phones. They mentioned a two strike rule that allows them to change phones after two. But apparently there's a new rule that says you have to keep the same brand but they obviously have some discretion. It literally took me half a day to get half a phone. Warranty apparently only has bodies so offer to accept that and hopefully someone in an Att store is sympathetic and gives you the rest of it from a returned phone.
I changed from sprint to Att about four years ago because of sprint horrible customer service. Att has been great until recently. I dont know what's changed but i am going to start dropping phones and changing carriers as the contracts end. They are the most expensive ones so they better offer good customer service in exchange.

So i spent over two hours with AT&T the past couple of days. They ended up offering me an exception upgrade for $275 for the Captivate. I told him to call me back on Monday to see if I've made up my mind or not but I'm not sure to go for it or not.

Really? I thought it was decent. You have to put things into perspective. I Just upgraded around 7 months ago to the Tilt2 so I'm not due for an upgrade for a long time. They gave me an "exception upgrade" and with tax, the device is going to cost around $300. I need to find a way to get that money though.

If anybody is interested in buying a Tilt2, Tilt, HTC Universals, and other devices, PM me.

I got my tilt2 in October which was just ten months ago and got my captivate for free due to their two strikes rule. although if they warrany the tilt2 and let you keep it then the 275.00 is worth it. the tilt2 is easily worth 300.00 on craigslist or ebay.
