i have the hd2 by myself and have try android on it, nice idea but to manny bugs and me too have give me big stress about it and for me it was not the right solution.. sry my english is bad

I would do a hard reset and then reload Android 2.2. That seemed to work best for me on every Android phone I have ever owned.

There are two things you need to check.
First, check your APNs, since most custom Android ROMS (and HD2 roms are all custom) come with pre-set APNs that aren't always compatible.
Second, check if your build has a newer version. There used to be a problem with MMS on many builds, but many of the latest builds have it fixed.
I recommend hopping over to XDA and checking latests builds, and if you have the know-how, even 'upgrading' your experience to NAND roms. They're the word!
