Looking Into getting a Headset for the PS3 for Online Gaming to converse with friends and to make fun of them etc....
I know that Sony Makes one for the PS3 @ $50 .

Question Is , Do I have to Use this one or can another one be used?
If another one can be used, What would be a good brand?

Actually any bluetooth headset will work as well, I use a 15 dollar bluetooth set for my ps3, that is for my phone
