Hi everybody!
I've created a toolbar for PPC Warez with the free tool of Conduit that users can download:

--> Search function powered by Google
--> "Links" are links at the top of the forum
--> "Forum" proposes all links of the forum
--> "Feeds" show the last topics of the forum
--> "Chat" : users will be able to chat with one another in a private chat room that only users of the PPCW toolbar will have access to (useful to chat without software but very basic)
--> "MSGS from admins": allow users to receive only message from admins (could be helpful when site is down for example) [admins need to contact me for this]
--> "email notifier" configure your mail account
--> "weather"

Very impressive artpod, nice work. The search function should be getting improved soon. Once that is done, we could perhaps integrate it into the toolbar and make an announcement of its release.

I'm using the toolbar now with FF. Other sites, similar to this one, have their own toolbars as well, so this one makes a very nice addition!! Rated 10 if there was a rate button here; dont see it for this thread.

Wow, I missed this thread. AWESOME job. I had this idea a while back and attempted to make one, but failed. Good job.

Ok I've improved the fonction "search on ppcwarez" refresh your toolbar for applying changes
I can also split the search by category but I need your opinion.
I've removed the "message from admin" box

PPCWarez Toolbar v 1.0

Requirements: PC (2000 and XP - vista?) and IE 5.0+ FF1.0.1+ - Mac and FF1.0 and higher other configuration not tested.
Overview:

The Toolbar: left menu with various options including gadgets (youtube, itunes music..) for customizing


Search functions of the toolbar implemented (basic search is powered by Google) - Allow search of any terms (with combinaison) on PPCW website.


Direct links to the categories of PPCW website (works after rules agreeement and as a long time as the cookie is not deleted - in other case need a new logon)

Demonoid (torrents) Feeds for Pocket PC applications


Email notifier


Other features: IM chat button allows to communicate with other PPC warez toolbar users - Wheather (location and temperature °F or °C according to your country). You can also hide unwanted button(s) from toolbar.

FOR PRIVACY REASONS AFTER INSTALLATION UNSELECT RADIO BUTTON "SEND STATISTICS"

New feature : CHAT with us on IRC easily!!


Just need to accept the Java Applet (it's secure don't be afraid!)
You will be logged as userXXX (XXX is a number):


1. Change your pseudo from userXXX to PSEUDO with the command:
/nick PSEUDO
2. Register your nick with a password and email with the command:
/nickserv REGISTER password email

Your nickname is now registered and protected!

Next time connect you with the command:
/nick PSEUDO and
/msg NickServ IDENTIFY password

Enjoy!

Change only the characters in blue by yours!!!

PS: if you have already downloaded the toolbar, "IRC" button will appear automatically - in other case just refresh the toolbar:

Finally I published now the last version of the toolbar before new major improvements in future.



- Forum menu includes previous shortcuts of links menu
- Demonoid application torrent feed was changed by Pocket PC Torrents for applications and games for PocketPc
- IM button for chatting was removed due to the developpment of Java Applet for IRC PPCW channel; consequently IRC label was removed

You can also propose features or suggestions for the next version of the toolbar in this topic.

Of course you can always add email notifier, popub blocker, gadgets, privacy button, weather and more as found in precedent releases.

PS: refresh your toolbar if changes do not appear automatically

You need to allow the site to accept the site "ppcwarez.myforumtoolbar.com" as secured to download the toolbar. Clear your cache and cookies.

...I already did that (i know how comps work)
