I'm thinking of building a new rig but I'm so out of my depth with the new CPU's, every guide I look at starts talking about streaming and video editing. I just want to play games and run normal programs, no editing or photoshop or any of that suff.
I'm thinking of a 1070 Ti (yes I know they just announced the 2070 but the price is crazy) so does anyone have a simple answer on what else to add to the build? I looked at the Ryzen series but I can't find RAM any higher than 2400 and most people say that it's not a good idea to match it with a low RAM stick.

I live in a place were Amazon and the likes is not an option as the import tax is stupidly high on PC parts

Any advice would be appreciated

Get plenty of ram (16Gb), a pretty good PSU, Noctua CPU fan, a 9x0 Geforce, and any decent processor will do

Use a ramdisk software for the temporary directories to avoid clattering the system, route windows paging file to said ramdisk to avoid moronic duplication of resources.

buy SSD(s) and not hardisks

and you'll happy for ever and after ;-)

Nowadays, CPUs and Graphic cards have way too much sheer power for any kind of game... if a game runs badly, 9 out of 10 it's badly coded...
