Ugh. So I have probably just wasted two hours of my vital library time searching for the books "Nier Automata Long Story Short: and "Taro Yokos Strange Works: From Drakengard to Nier - Automata" because I couldn't find it here and I can't really offer enough WRZ for it.

Does anyone else hate when you're searching for brand new books and no one else has them? Or the downloads are locked behind walls where you have to put in in your debit card number?

Or worse, when you think you've found the perfect download, and that dreaded 403 forbidden error comes up.

Blargh. Sorry. Rant thread. But I really wanted these new works. Yoko Taro is such a storyteller.

Well truth is there are gaps in my collection too. Treat it as a chance for adventure and search for new authors to love. Better still search for old ones. Literature has more depth than reviewers care to imagine.

Anyway Yoko Taro isn't an Author of any note. He is game designer. The author of "Taro Yokos Strange Works: From Drakengard to Nier - Automata" is Nicolas Turcev. Worse any amount WRZ will not suffice to get an electronic copy of a new book that is only available in hardback. That explains your problem with downloads. Only scammers and bulshit artists will be offering it.

Huh. I went to Amazon and they were offering a digital edition of Long Story Short.

You don't have to be an author to be a story teller. But Yoko Taro has written a few of the short stories related to Nier Automata, and honestly, he's like Tetsuya Nomura. He may be given one role, but he does a lot. He did a lot of the writing for Nier Automata, and he wrote the YoRHa stage play, and maybe YoRHa boys.

The story of Nier Automata is amazing. It's a love story, wrapped up in an apocalypse.

Um. Yes. Amazon is offering Long Story Short.........from the first of November. So again, unless somebody leaks an Advanced Reader's Copy, it's not going to happen quite yet. After, well maybe, maybe not. Not every book gets pirated. They certainly don't all get pirated immediately. The more sold, the better the chance so I hope the books have a popularity matching your enthusiasm.

Have to say you have my sympathies there. My tastes run to fantasy and science fiction. Popularity is a poor measure of what I think is good.
