DESCRIPTION

It's time to find a newer ebook reader because STDU Viewer sometimes has a problem to open some books(black screen) and Universal Viewer Pro sometimes doesn't view books correctly see Universal Viewer Pro vs Edge:

WHAT I WANT
  • I want just a reader not an ebook organizer that will make duplicates of my ebooks(Calibre)...
  • It must allow copying text
  • It must be able to open .epub and .mobi
  • Reading mode: I prefer single page
  • I prefer freeware

Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately, The Bullet Journal Method book is not displayed properly neither. The same error like with Universal Viewer.

I agree, google play books is a must, you can also make annotations on your ebook that are centralized on a neat file stored in your drive account. Very practical. And i would add that the format of the ebook does not matter anymore since you can easily convert it either using calibre or on online-convert. It free and very quick. google play books accepts only epub though.

I don't use any PC based ereader software as I find reading books on a electronic display to be quite tiring. I prefer reading them on eInk readers.

I used Caliber on my desktop. I really like Moon Reader for Android. I wish there was a desktop version of Moon Reader, but sadly there's not.

I use my laptop and Calibre's ebook reader. (I can read .epub and .mobi books on it and read a single page at a time.)

I can make duplicates of my ebooks by copying the ebook file on my laptop.

Calibre can let us copy text by opening the book in Calibre and choosing "edit".

It's free. :)

Calibre, on everyone of the pc's that i had it was one of the first programs that i installed; it's comfortable, work for almost every file (epub, mobi, aw3, etc.) and doesn't need updates, it's the best (in my opinion).
