Not only does this site almost always have what I'm looking for, but now I love it a little more.
My local library announced that since they're not getting enough in taxes from certain townships (mine included), that they're going to a basic/premium model. People who live in basic service areas get to check out two books at a time. That's it. (Nothing was said about DVDs, but that's probably because they were never free in the first place.)
If you want to use interloan, overdrive, hoopla, mango (that's a language service, I think)? $40 a year.
I realize everyone needs operating money, but I can't help but wonder whose brilliant idea it was to not include library funds in tax bills.
