Hey, don't get me started about 8-track tapes! or even reel-to-reel tape decks!

I know I would be lost without it. It's how I keep in touch with family members who live in other states and it's how I get most of my news.

Slower paced?

I think it would be a boring world if you were to suddenly take away the internet. however, if we were to have grown up without internet and no knowledge of it or what we'd be missing out, i think it would actually make the world a lot less complicated. people would be more social and life would be simpler.

I don't think the world would be smaller, as people would be 'getting together' more often.

People would be more ignorant of certain things (like the odd popularity of tentacle monsters), and more knowledgable about other things (like current events in politics and their town).

People would have to narrow their research topics in essays considerably. I know person who wrote an essay about dread diseases in an English class because that is the Encyclopedia he had access to.

Certain technologies would be less advanced without the knowledge share that is the internet. On the other hand, we might have achieved world peace by now if so many of the current generation were no fascinated by the time sink that is the work wide web.

It is an interesting question?

Without the internet, the world would be much more conservative and religious, in my opinion. This is because with the internet, people learn more things and new cultural stuff is introduced and spread.

But for certain, it would be much more boring.
