cryptload.info works - I just typed the name of the program into Google

Cryptload is simply a download manager, designed for filehosts like uploaded, rapidshare, netload etc..
back in the day, pretty much all filehosts had downloadlimits for free users, they had to wait an hour or so after downloading a file...
you could bypass this, by changing your IP, this is possible by resetting/unplugging-replugging your modem/Router (works with most ISPs, not all)...
with Cryptload you could integrate this process into the program... after you download a file, it automatically resets your connection, thereby changing your IP and making another download possible, without having to wait...
now however most hosts simply throttle the downloadspeed, there is no bypassing that without a premium account... of course on cryptload you can save all your accounts, which makes it an convenient downloader for premium users...
of course free users can benefit as well, since the program OCRs a lot of captchas, which means you don't have do type in captchas, so you can just let the program run in the backgroud and it will automatically download all the files in the list, one by one...

there is another program jDownloader... it is probably more popular than cryptload... has pretty much the same functionality, but has support for more hosters and some interesting plugins... some users prefer cryptload though, since it has less bugs (but a bit less functionality)
