Habeus Corpus
Dutch and Belgian cops are arguing over who will lead a murder hunt after a corpse was found on the border.
The dead body of a woman was found in a house which stands on both sides of the Holland-Belgium border in the Baarle-Hertog region.
Belgian prosecutors had begun investigating but Dutch cops say the corpse was in the side of the house over the Dutch border when it was found.
Officials from both forces have now said they may have to find the woman's next of kin before deciding who will investigate her death.

On Your Bike
#Polish police are baffled after a cyclist was badly burned when his trousers burst into flames.
Mieczyslaw Jasinski, 55, told doctors he smelt burning and looked down to see his trousers had caught fire.
He jumped off his bike and rolled on the ground trying to douse the flames but suffered second degree burns to his legs, back and stomach.
Passers-by spotted him lying at the side of the road in Koroszczyn, still smoking from the tattered remains of his trousers and groaning in pain.
A police spokesman said: "Witnesses said he was like a flaming human torch cycling along the road.
"We do not know how it happened but we have heard that it could have been caused by a reaction between friction as he cycled, sweat and the material of his trousers."

UFOs are real That is the Truth
The center of abnormal triangle is situated in the middle of Ural taiga in the place called Molebka, 125 miles away from Perm.
The sanctuary is going to have a monument to Russian alien in the center. They say, it is going to be done by one famous Russian sculptor. A UFO museum and an observatory are going to be situated nearby. The cupola of the headquarters will look like the flying plate. The sanctuary administration is going to spend 5 million dollars for the project. 70 % of the sum will be donated by Region Administration, the rest is planned to be invested by local investors.
UFO hunters will be placed in comfortable cottages for 20 – 40 dollars per person. Consider that 2 days in American UFO sanctuary “Zone 51”, NV, costs 500 dollars per person. Sanctuary administration plans to receive up to 500 tourists monthly.
Perm region Minister of trade Elena Gilyazova likes the idea of the UFO sanctuary. “Molebka is a famous and popular place with its rich history. It would be inefficient not to use this town as a tourist attraction. ”People will keep on visiting Molebka, whether we like it or not. Every year 450 thousand tourists visit Perm region, half heading for abnormal zone”.
Perm abnormal zone (known also as M – triangle, Perm triangle and M - zone) is situated on the left bank of the river Silva between the villages Molebka and Kamenka on the border of Sverdlovskaay and Permskaya region. It is famous for a lot of abnormal events going on there. The zone occupies about 44 miles.
A lot of mythological legends spread around Molebskaya zone. They offer explanations of the mysteries going on in this place, descriptions of people meeting aliens and even talks about the “Gate to Shambala” that is situated on one of the hills.

We're not alone...MoD reveal the number of reported UFO sightings in the UK has risen
Last updated at 19:02pm on 7th February 2008
The number of reported sightings of Unidentified Flying Objects in the UK has soared in the last year with people calling the Ministry of Defence with concerns about bright white lights, strange triangular-shaped objects and even alien abduction.
The MoD took details of 135 events in which mysterious objects were seen in our skies by witnesses including three pilots. Just 97 were reported in 2006.
Unexpected visitors: The number of UFOs seen in the UK has increased in the last year
In the last year, there have been reports of a flying saucer in Staffordshire, small stationary aircraft in Derbyshire and a fast moving triangular shaped object in West Yorkshire.
In the West Midlands in December, a woman was terrified when a UFO shone a light into her window. She said the UFO then "shot off fast at first to the North East and then started to move at a slow pace".
Meanwhile in Duxford, Cambridgeshire, on April 12, a witness reported seeing fifty objects, each with an orange light, assembling in the sky before ascending.
* Will beaming songs into space lead to an alien invasion?
On another occasion, two pilots in different planes flying over Alderney in the Channel Islands reported seeing two bright orange aircrafts and another pilot reported seeing a strange "balloon-like" object when in the air.
Many of the reports refer to bright lights although some callers have insisted they saw "a definite UFO".
In one case a man calling from Cardiff, Wales, said spaceships had appeared and abducted his dog, car and tent.
The Ministry of Defence has released the file as part of its plan to open its archives on UFO research and sightings. Previously, details of classified reports were kept secret for 30 years.
A spokeswoman said the incidents are recorded but unless a security threat is suspected the Ministry does not investigate further.
"We only investigate if there have been any objects in British air space that may be military," she said. "Unless there's evidence of a potential threat we don't investigate."
Hilary Porter, from the British Earth and Aerial Mysteries Society (BEAMS) said she is not surprised by the rise in the number of UFOs reported to the MoD, as they have been inundated with similar reports.
She said: "There has been a huge influx of UFOs. We have had so many calls from people that have seen these huge formations.
"We have had call after call, from business people right down to ordinary folk in their cars. There have been some very close encounters that have been quite unnerving for the people involved. We have had other people reporting orb sightings."
But skeptics believe the UFO sightings can be easily explained. Many are helicopters or other human designed craft like weather balloons and satellites, while others are optical illusions or unusual cloud formations.

The Guardian reports that judges in the "court of cassation", the highest court of appeal in Italian law, have moved to criminalise not only shameless crotch-scratching, but also a specific local superstition.
Crotch-grabbing outlawed
Hold it, sir, that's close enough
According to Italian folklore, a swift grasp of one's generative organs - known by Italians as their "attributi" - protects against bad luck.
A funeral procession passing by, or disaster or disease cropping up in conversation, therefore brings a flurry of men's hands descending crotchwards.
The issue came to light after a 42-year-old workman from Como, near Milan, was convicted of indecent behaviour after "ostentatiously touching his genitals through his clothing".
Despite claims by his lawyer that the action was nothing more sinister than a "compulsive, involuntarily movement, probably to adjust his overalls", the court was unimpressed.
Such behaviour "has to be regarded as an act contrary to public decency, a concept including that nexus of socio-ethical behavioural rules requiring everyone to abstain from conduct potentially offensive to collectively-held feelings of decorum," they said in their ruling, ordering the man to pay a €200 (£152) fine and €1000 (£760) costs.
While superstitious groin-grabbing has become less acceptable in recent years, the phrase "io mi tocco i…", or "I touch my…", is still used in much the same way as "touch wood" is in English.
Judges in the case were helpful enough to suggest that would-be crotch criminals wait until they are the privacy of their own home before letting their hands wander.

A woman has been jailed in Malaysia for joining a "tea-pot worshipping" cult.
Kamariah Ali, a 57 year old former teacher, was arrested in 2005 when the government of the Muslim majority country demolished the two storey high sacred tea pot of the Sky Kingdom cult.
For the sect, which emphasised ecumenical dialogue between religions, the tea pot symbolized the purity of water and "love pouring from heaven".
But in Malaysia, despite constitutional guarantees of freedom of worship, born Muslims such as Mrs Ali are forbidden from converting to other religions.
Passing sentence, the Sharia judge Mohammed Abdullah said: "The court is not convinced that the accused has repented and is willing to abandon any teachings contrary to Islam. I pray God will open the doors of your heart, Kamariah."
Mrs Ali has already been jailed once for apostasy, for 20 months in 1992.
"This has to stop. They can?t be sending her again and again to prison for this," her lawyer, Sa'adiah Din, told reporters.
"She informed the court that she is not a Muslim. She doesn't come under Sharia court anymore."

DEATH ABOLISHED IN FRANCE
BORDEAUX, France (Reuters) - The mayor of a village in southwest France has threatened residents with severe punishment if they die, because there is no room left in the overcrowded cemetery to bury them.
In an ordinance posted in the council offices, Mayor Gerard Lalanne told the 260 residents of the village of Sarpourenx that "all persons not having a plot in the cemetery and wishing to be buried in Sarpourenx are forbidden from dying in the parish."
It added: "Offenders will be severely punished."
The mayor said he was forced to take drastic action after an administrative court in the nearby town of Pau ruled in January that the acquisition of adjoining private land to extend the cemetery would not be justified.
Lalanne, who celebrated his 70th birthday on Wednesday and is standing for election to a seventh term in this month's local elections, said he was sorry that there had not been a positive outcome to the dilemma.
"It may be a laughing matter for some, but not for me," he said.

CANBERRA (Reuters) - An Australian who took a new car on a 3,200 km (1,988 mile) six-day test drive from the city to the outback has been arrested, police said on Thursday.
The 30-year-old convinced a car dealer in the southeastern city of Melbourne to lend him a A$40,000 ($37,000) Honda Accord sedan last Friday and drove the equivalent of London to Istanbul before he was arrested near the town of Tennant Creek, deep in the outback of the Northern Territory.
"He drove from Melbourne to Adelaide to Alice Springs," Tennant Creek police Constable James Gray-Spence told Reuters.
He said the man was arrested without incident at a road block on his way north to Darwin after he failed to pay for fuel at a hamlet.
The test drive was the longest known to Australian police and topped a 500km theft on New Zealand's South Island in 2006.
"I think we've topped that with the 3,000 km mark," Gray-Spence said.
Melbourne car yard owner Ian McKenzie said the man would have had to have been in the car all day, every day to reach Tennant Creek.
"He seemed a legitimate gentleman. He stood at the desk right in front of a camera. He wasn't afraid of being photographed or videoed," McKenzie told the Herald Sun newspaper.
The man was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of property and will appear in court on Thursday.
