Watched 2 eps of firefly series on a PC. (all 14 are there)
DVD-like quality in full-screen, no skipping. Loaded in 5
seconds, & fast/precise seeking.
The catch? There are 2 - #1-commercials (not bad, 3 totaling
1 minute during a 44 min show) & #2-probably available only in
the US or via proxy.
Too bad the site isn't ppc friendly, (a no go either w/ IE6 bundle that
works w/ youtube, netfront 3.5 & one of the lastest operas)
but someone will probably come up with a workaround. It's
a flash-based site, so maybe TCPMP or Coreplayer can be
made to work. No big deal if not though, as most of the
content can be found here @ ppcw or elsewhere.
Still, it's a nicely executed concept. I laugh when I compare it
to the choppy-halting realplayer-based vid in the nineties
that took forever to load, was the size of a postage stamp & still
looked like crap.
