For the last two days on logging on I am being diverted to advertisement every 10 seconds,
where as before it was only when I first log in, what has changed? have I missed something??
This does not happen when logging in with my iMac.

Have you tried to install Adblock Plus for your browser (Firefox or Chrome)? It may be that you have Adblock installed on you PC but not on your ipad. Sorry if I'm wrong, I don't have an ipad. Anyhow, I use Firefox with Adblock Plus on my computer and I haven't seen any advertisements on Internet for a long time already
