I was the opposite, I tried FF and didn't like it at all and went back to Opera!

I have been using Firefox 2.0.0.13 since it was still FF 1.x.
Sticking with it especially for the plugins! Adblock plus is excellent, with downloadstatus bar, FEBE/CLEO, NoScript

I have tried (I think) all browsers, and so far this is the list:
Opera is by far, my favorite. I didn't even know about it, until accidentally trying it out. The plugins for it, are endless. The features that I use the most, are only really useful for those with a mouse and a scroll interface. That allows me to browse blazingly fast, and it has become my favorite feature. Then, there is organization of buttons and websites, which so far, others can not even begin to come as close. The reliability of the browser, is my highest priority; at least usually. For this browser, I most appreciate the crash restore; this allows me to continue surfing, practically, where I left off.

IE 7: What can I say, I used this for the longest time, and until I met Opera, this was the most reliable and trusting friend for surfing. Even if they copied what other browsers, were already doing; so what? At least they got it there..

Firefox: Not sure what all of the hype is about; I haven't been able to see this perform, anywhere near as well as Opera has for me. Comments are very much appreciated, on why Firefox does it for you. Have you not tried Opera, before?

IE8: What a disaster.. I most likely will never go back to IE, again. What used to work, like competition forcing Microsoft to put out a better browser; it is no longer working. I saw very, very, little improvements, at all. Sure there were some integration of some services; that isn't enough for me, to call it an improvement. Sorry, Microsoft.

Here are a few screenshots as to what IE8 is supposedly aiming to be:

In life
A coffee should be a coffee first and then anything else.
The basic requirement of efficient browsing in a no fuss manner with easy initutive interface is OPERA.
Yes has problems too but they are far too less in comparison to the minimum requirements of other browsers
In a nutshell
Use it for a week before giving up

Curious; what does that switch proxy plugin do?
What makes you stay with Firefox?
Have you tried Opera?

Primarily using IE8 beta 1 on Vista and FF3 Beta 5 on my Linux box. I also have Safari / Konqueror on various machines, whatever the new Mozilla Suite is called on my laptop, and Opera on all my mobile devices.

absolutely, i have ff, opera and safari installed. use them often.
but there are many sites that just dont work "quite right" with anything else other than ie.

look if ff or safari can work on every site, or email that i use, then ill have NO problem switching; i have absolutely nothing invested in ms or ie.
it just works.

like they say, "the proof is in the pudding!"

there's an add on for ff, if there is any website that has compatibility issues with ff (I doubt that with ff latest version) you simply click on the iexplorer icon on ff and it display the page as if ie was open. check it out: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419
