My objective is to convert 4 babylon dictionary files (.bgl) in order to use in mobipocket reader. I made a research and found that;

firstly, i need to convert .bgl to stardict format (a dictionary program runs under Ubuntu) using dict conv.

and then secondly, need convert those stardict dictionaries to mobipocket format.

first operation cannot be done under windows. if someone who uses ubuntu (or maybe linux) can help me, i'll be glad.

You can boot Ubuntu from a CD so you don't actually need to install anything to run it.

Just download a "live" CD image and boot your PC with it.

You can't install programs on live CD. The program he's talking about needs to be installed.

you can install programs on live cd if you use a USB and make it persistent. I use the remix version for my notebook and it's pretty flawless.

I tried netbook remix on a PC (non-netbook) and it was so $%@! slow!

Indeed it has some graphic enhancements that make it slow on some machines...
