No one cares enough to write viruses for a non-entity that for over a decade, and until very recently, had less than a microscopic fraction of the computing world. Apple's success is due ONLY to the iPod, and all it's other products piggyback of this success. With it's switch to PC-technology (Intel based processors) and the new-found popularity its gained everyone can see Apple slowly adopting Microsoft's practices (monopoly and propriety...eg: want to enjoy full use of iTunes? Must have an iPod). Yes, the Mac-OS being based on UNIX further adds another layer of security but the truth is that virus programmers want their "work"/garbage to be seen...that means hitting the most popular OS out there. Now that Apple is the new Microsoft prepare for more attempts at writing viruses for the OS, it's only a matter of time.
