True or false...

One day I was attempting a football / soccer game with my son, when this happened:

A player from our favourite team was receiving the ball from another player. Then he wanted to shoot the ball to another player, but at that moment my son - who is a friend of the player who was going to shoot the ball - called his name... A fraction of a second the player recognized his name - or the voice of my son shouting - was distracted, misjudged by that the position of the ball and missed his shot. He lost balance and turned around 180° while the other foot was stucked in the ground. By that he got injured and couldn't play for more than two months...

Is this true? Did this really happen?

He's injured due to something else. (Perhaps, )

Haha! ok, of course I didn't forget. My story was FALSE. Of course it was false... andree saw that immediately. Guess I am not good at lies... All users be warned hereby, my partner sees right through me... Better follow his opinion on whether I say true or false...

True or false...

OK, my next story happened a few weeks ago. It was a Monday evening, a quiet evening. About 600 visitors on the site, colleague mods were categorizing/rewarding (had to check afterwards for errors), andree was taking care of the services (no need to check, all perfectly done - of course -), Infernal was posting mirrors, (I should think about rewarding those one day), Bamsec1 was updating his Language Page (neatly done, btw), Kargent was asking himself why I don't visit IRC no more, (I have no time, my friend), and UserPPC was still wondering why I don't answer his PMs..., (I will do...),... nobody would miss me...

I went to a dealer meeting from a product brand I sell in my shop. It was a fine dinner and afterwards we went to a room that had been managed as a casino. There were three tables to play: a blackjack table, a Lucky seven table and a roulette table. We were about 100 people and received each 100 (fake) dollars to play. At the end of the evening everybody had to count his money and the six richest among us would get a price. The first price - for the one that had won most - was a LCD television, the second a GPS device and the four others would win a design backgammon or chess game.

I played roulette. I played the Arabic method (I don't know if it's the correct name but I read that somewhere and it sticked to my mind...). I placed a 1$ bet on RED and doubled my bed every time BLACK came out and lowered it back to 1$ when RED was winner...

I went home with the LCD television...

So, what do you think? Is my story true or false? Did I win the most $$ that evening?
