Hmm.. I hear all this talk about Firefox, and IE8
IE8
The ideas that center around this update and beta phase are great ideas, but IMexperience, IE8 1 and 2 betas are crap. Actually, I think I got a virus or corrupt file-system because of an ad-on I downloaded from the "so called official IE8 Add-On Site." It hasn't gone back on my computer since, after the reformat, and it won't ever go back. IE7 is still my browser of choice, if Opera for some reason is giving me problems. For example, sometimes, when I am doing something really important, and I don't want to mess up the formatting or page layout, I will use IE just because I know it works.
Firefox
Used it, but only for testing for my new website. Other than minor testing, I don't see how it is more powerful then Opera. I don't care about security, I am a very wise and smart tech savy Internet user. I know to check links before clicking on here links, as they can say whatever they want; the actual link may differ. Also, Opera has the search in page, which I just the other day found out to be really easy to get to. Just type one of these letters in: / . , and you are all set to go with your search. It's new Link system is OUTSTANDING! It has helped me in ways I never thought it would. Bookmarks being everywhere, history of typed pages, even the freakin notes are all synced to any browser that I login to. The gestures and wheel gestures are addicting; I regret using IE because I try and continue to use them, when in fact I can't, and that friendly right-click context menu just stares at me, wondering what I am doing. The added items to the context menu in Opera are so helpful, so many times.
Can Opera be improved some? Yes, for sure. Is it still usable, absolutely usable and a pleasant experience.
Thanks,
Andrew,
