So you've all seen the specs of the new iPhone, but is it worth it? Is is as good as the more customisable HTC Artemis, or any other WM device?

The reason I'm posting is that my contract ends next month, so I'm due an upgrade and I'm wondering whether to wait untill July 11th for the new iPhone or get the new XDA Orbit 2 (I currently have the original Orbit and it has served me well!).

The thing that really bugs me is the lack of decent MMS support for the iPhone (which I use a lot!). I use the phone mainly as an organiser which I sync with Outlook, or if I get round to it - Thunderbird. I use the GPS occasionally, but find it takes a long while to find a decent signal and loses it randomly while I'm driving - very annoying! I'm not a big fan of the PDA's with the sliding keyboards, I much prefer the touch screen ones...

Anyways, let me know what you guys think!

I wouldn't switch over from Windows Mobile and I'm basically new to it all even though my previous experience with these devices are PalmOS. I'm completely against using anything built and distributed by Apple. If your current device has served you well I suppose an upgrade to the next device using a similar OS couldn't hurt you considering anyone of these devices at any moment will fail us. At least you know what your getting yourself into.

I'll buy it soon (I hope so)! They lowered a price so now it's much cheaper! I've used WM for about few years and can't wait to try new Iphone...think also there should be a seperate topic for Iphone Apps

Isn't the iPhone limited on applications you can install?

Actually there are at least hundreds, if not thousands, of iphone apps.

If U unlocked your iPhone there are apps on the net as many as U wish!;) And soon U could put them on iPhone that it's not unlocked!

I think that the person who had a Win Mobile phone and an iPhone is authorized to answer this question.

I have a HTC Kaiser, which was considered the best Win Mobile phone.

But I felt as a phone it is quite useless.

I bought 1 months ago an iPhone, because I was so frustrated with the Kaiser, and I do not regret it till today.

There is really a huge difference in usability etc.
