is there a way to save a book from kindle cloud to computer?

Talk about anything here as long as it is not against the rules. Post count not affected.

hi, i'm not sure i'm i the right place or not, but i bought a book on amazon a while back, and i have it in my kindle app and the amazon kindle cloud...

i was hoping that there was a way to save this file to my computer so i can convert it to epub so i can read it in ibooks.....

i'm on a mac, 10.5 and can't figure out how to save it!

any help would be much appreciated!

Since May till now I figure you found your answer. But If not here is my answer:

If you own an iPhone download iKindle and you can read your book on your phone.
If you want the book on your computer, download the kindle app for PC or Mac. I don't know how a Mac looks but on my laptop the books are saved in Documents - My Kindle content. It's true that the files are not saved with their title but with a string of numbers and letters but you can figure out what's what with Calibre.

Did you find your answer?

If not, I have it. I'd bought a book on Amazon and didn't like having always to switch to the Kindle app to read it on my iPad. Found a solution - and the obscure location of Kindle books on my Mac - but it involves stripping the DRM from your book. I went through the process and am now happily reading the book in iBooks.

Let me know if you're still interested and want the complete info and how-to.

that would be great!!! i forget about the books in the kindle/nook apps...i don't think i've actually read a book in either of them...i'll; have to sync my ipad later tonight...hopefully just the books since i don't want the new ios 7 on there and my music got all messed with itunes 11...

i do have access to the books on the amazon cloud reeader, which i can access from my work comp...is there a way to get the file from there? or do i have to sync?
