It is with deep sadness that my mother peacefully passed away this past week. It will be a challenging road for me over the next little while and hope your prayers and wishes are with me to let me know that the universe will help with my direction.

Ancient Egyptians believed that upon death they would be asked two questions and their answers would determine whether they could continue their journey in the afterlife. The first question was, "Did you bring joy?"

If your mother be anything like you I'm sure she has no regrets, that if asked such a simple question she would smile, knowing the answer given would be the life and light she brought into this world as you.

wondergirl, you KNOW you have my deepest sympathies and condolences in a time like this! I know mere words can't convey it very well, but I do feel your loss.

While my Mom is still with us, I have lost my Dad and then my Brother (and best friend and confidant) to cancer. I do know some of what you are going through and I know it hurts. You are not alone, no matter how it feels right now. Be strong. You know you have our support.

I'm truly sorry to hear about your mom. My deepest condolences.

I've lost several of my dearest ones in the last couple of years. And although it hurts deeply, I find comfort knowing they hurt no more and suffer no more, knowing they are in a better place, in peace. As for us, we're not alone - in spirit, they are still with us, watching over us, taking care of us, and some day we shall be reunited. If you look at it that way - and I firmly believe it is so - it will be much easier to go on.

You know... It's been a soul searching week and as I read your condolences I am full of emotion and know that there are people out there that really care for me and what I am experiencing. I thank you all for your prayers and condolences and let you all know that you are so greatly appreciated in my life even though I have never met any of you. It will be a challenging quest through it, but I am strong.

Wondergirl, I am new here and have never known you but your loss is great. My sympathies are with you, may your mother find happiness wherever she is.

You know, i just lost my mom last February due to the liver cirrhosis. The hardest thing was i saw when she pulled her last breath in the hospital, i was there just sitting beside her bed hold her hand without being able to do anything about it but pray. It was very hard but i didn't want to lose that moment. I just wish she knew i was there.

Sometimes i wonder if i was dutiful enough to her when she was alive.

Wondergirl, we don't know each other, i am a new member here, but my deepest condolences to you. i think we all had lost someone closest ever so i am pretty sure we do understand what your feeling is. Wish you and your family are given the strength.
