I am more excited for this than any other game out! Because:

A) I am a huge fan of the Quake series, which is in my opinion the most balanced multiplayer FPS EVAR!!
B) It's online and FREE
C) It's massively updated
D) And players are be able to have an account and track their stats, ect.

Haha, unfortunately not (and I dont think most WM phones would able to handle it )

But it is really fun, and if anybody needs a beta key, I got four invites waiting!

The current version does not support OSX, so you will need bootcamp or the like to play on a Windows "machine"...

The final version however will support OSX!

Im interested in seeing how much of a competitive edge this game will have. Usually Quake games are very competitive but focus too much on shooting, rather than both shooting and thinking as in Halo (my PC game of choice) or CSS.

I would have to say its mostly shooting, but you have to know how to take down the other guy, and I am not that good so I usually end up having a negative K/D ratio .-.

IMO Halo is mostly the same thing over and over, shooting, grens, and bash, which is a pretty easy combo once you get used to it, I play Halo 3 once in a while and coming from Halo 2 I usually do pretty good. CS:S probably has more of a competitive edge, I personally just play CS

played quake online a few times (not the one mentioned here) and i gotta say IMHO it sucks compaired to counter-strike which i more into then any other online game out there

yeah, i have to say counterstrike is pretty dope.
my friend got really into it like 6 months ago, and gave me a free 3 day pass,
and then i had to buy it. lol.
and then like 3 days after that we rented our own server. lol.

I run several Halo servers as well as a team of players, its pretty fun.

CS is pretty fun. I got it about 5-6ish years ago lol, doesnt seem that long! Right now im getting into HL2 deathmatch I want the full game though. You can get it for free here:

it's mad late here and i just got done writing my 5 page essay
that i had to completely rewrite!
it wouldn't have been that bad if i didn't have to re-research everything
and if it wasn't due in like 7 hours. lol.
but i'm brain dead right now. haha.

but my friend had cs like 6 years ago too,
but my computer was one of those with like a gig of harddrive space,
and i didn't want to play my friends cs
and then go buy cs and not have it work on my family's computer. lol.
but thank god we got a newer computer since then. haha.

i'm working on building my own right now,
it's mainly a money problem since i get paid next to nothing. haha.
but my job is easy and i don't have to leave school or anything. haha.

if i ever get around to getting halo i'll come talk to you LH.

haha nice work on the essay, I have an 8 pger due in about 2 weeks, not looking forward to it at all. When I got cs I had a 2mb video card with I think 64mb of ram and I would have to say, it wasn't all to bad! But yeah my computer sucked pretty badly! Now I got my laptop which can fortunately play source games

Anyone know if ReadyBoost works well in games? im currently using a 1GB flash drive, but thinking about upgrading to 3gigs or 4gigs of ram, I have 2 right now...
