I'm also really interested. I upload some books that I buy on Amazon, and perhaps others do as well. But there are folks that upload 10s of books a day - I can't imagine they're footing the bill for all those books.

I have Usenet access and can tell you that most books here are NOT coming from there. There may be IRC groups I don't know about, but I haven't seen any that have anywhere near the # of fresh books that can be found here.

Yes, you need money for ebook.farm. Their prices are set at either 90 or 95% of what amazon charges. Can't remember which.

I just kind of find it lying about...ebook3000, 4shared, scribd...mobilism! Never had usenet yet though, or IRC. Really should get onto that.
ebook-forums.org is a recent find. Try there?
