i have an lg gt505 from orange romania which has an integrated gps module.
It comes with lg wise pilot preinstalled but it is not working, there is no gps signal.

Can anyone tell me which gps software can be installed on this phone ?

Basically: Any, besides iGo that uses too much RAM. Try google maps first, it's free and usually find's the gps.
First fix can take a few minutes with clear sky.

Hmm, but it don't' have windows mobile os or simbian, i think it has just java. I have google maps installed, but it use internet connection to locate me, not gps

Err..sorry. No winmob.
You must use wisepilot, there's no other application for this phone.

Still, you should be able to receive the gps signal - otherwise there's no navigation possible.

there is no gps signal... today i contacted customer service from orange romania, and they said that a-gps it requires an internet connection to work... but i see the gps status, and there is no signal.

i have tryed outdoor, but no signal. Can be a problem with the phone gps receiver ?

gps needs no internet
it'll fix faster with current sat data, that can be usually downloaded over the internet

The gps shoud receive a signal in any case, with a-gps it'll be much faster for the first fix.

Hmmm, then i think there is a problem with my phone, because in any cases it displays "No gps coverage"
