Please guys, don't use Rapidshare.COM any more.

It is almost impossible to use unless you are a paid up member. And for the 'elite' users who have Rapidshare.COM membership please DO think about the members of this website before telling us to pay for rapidshare.com.

The whole ethos of this website is SHARE FREE for everyone, and not pay-to-share for an elite.

Rapidshare.DE or Megaupload are far more user friendly.

I won't upload any of my releases to the COM version of Rapidshare because I don't want anyone who likes my software to suffer hours trying to download it from this capitalistic website.

In the longer term they are screwing themselves by keeping free users from being able to use their site as it becomes useless for any uploader to have their files unobtainable.

Sorry to have to b.i.t.c.h yet again about rapidshare.com, guys.

Use JDownloader and don't care if the web interface is user friendly or not.

For direct downloads to the mobile, which are usually small cab files, you don't have to wait in most cases. And for larger files use JDownloader.

Well, I don't wanna boycott anything regardless I don't like it. I use FF and SkipScreen and it works almost on any kind of dl sites. Not faster, but -at least- you don't have to watch it when it begins.

I also dislike rapidshare and that's why I make sure that whenever I release something, I upload it on mediafire and provide a mirror to megaupload. Mediafire has the fastest downloads for a free user and allows parallel downloads and megaupload doesn't have the download slots issues like rapidshare.

I agree. The site recently has become just one big advertisement for their premium service. Now, I usually skip RS mirrors when downloading.
