We have been trying to help a local family with Christmas this year. The father has had a stroke and can not verbally communicate at this time. His wife said she was wanting a app called "ISpeak" for him that is $50 but can't afford it. I tried researching it but one of the sites won't work for me and the others don't explain much. Does anyone know if this app would be helpful or if there is another that might be better? Whatever I get I have to find it free as we are running really low on funds for the toy drive. Any help here is appreciated!!! Not sure if this is even where I need to post this but hopefully I'm in the right place. Thanks in advance!!!!
ISpeak It 3.5.1
Listen to your documents on your iPod or iPhone.
iSpeak It is a file-to-audio converter that serves as a perfect companion to the iPod or iPhone. iSpeak It loads Word, PDF, Pages, RTF, AppleWorks, text and HTML documents. It downloads Wikipedia articles, weather forecasts, driving directions, and arbitrary web pages as well as RSS feeds. iSpeak It then uses the Mac's text-to-speech engine (check out our TTS page if you'd like to find better voices) and iTunes to convert the text into an MP3/AAC track containing the text as lyrics (so you can read along as you listen).
