GENOA - The Azzurri had a brief training this morning on the Marassi pitch. Forty-five minutes in all, which gave indications on the formation that will play tonight. Most probably a 4-3-3, with Oddo in defence on the right, Grosso on the left, Barzagli and Panucci in the center; three-man all-Rossonero midfield with Gattuso, Pirlo, and Ambrosini; latest news on the attack is that Quagliarella will play instead of the flu-stricken Iaquinta, alongside Toni and Di Natale. Massimo said he thought the idea of playing with his Milan team mates was 'very stimulating'.

IT'S FINISHED ITALY-GEORGIA 2-0

GENOA - The Euro 2008 Group B qualifying match between Italy and Georgia in Genoa finished 2-0 to the Azzurri. After the goal by Andrea Pirlo in the 43rd minute on a free kick, Italy doubled their lead in the 84th minute through Fabio Grosso. Italy thereby maintain their second place in the group with 23 points, after Scotland who lead with 24.

EURO 2008: THE MINUTES OF THE ROSSONERI

MILAN - At Genoa, Oddo, Gattuso and Pirlo (who scored the first goal of the Azzurri against Georgia), played the entire match. Massimo Ambrosini went out in the 88th minute. Both Dario Simic and Clarence Seedorf played teh entire game, respectively in Croatia-Israel and Romania-Holland. Clarence was unlucky at Costanza: his shots and assists, were not enough for Holland, even though he had a very good game as the Dutch side was beaten 1-0 in a well played game. MILAN - The youth players of Milan yesterday defeat 2-1 the Primavera of Rimini. After suffering a goal from a free-kick, the Rossoneri then equalized thanks to a goal by Rampinini. At the end of the first half it's Rampinini again to create the move for the advantage: shot from the distance, parried by the goalkeeper and scored by Pierre Aubameyang. The lads of Fillippo Galli remain at the top of the standings: on Saturday they will face Fiorentina away from home, with the Viola coming from a 4-2 win at Treviso.
