A GREAT EMOTION

"I'm very happy because it went very well, I came in and I immediately scored, giving the three points to the team. It was truly a great emotion."

- THE DECLARATIONS OF GILA AND THE ROSSONERI -

UDINE - Here are the declarations made by the rossoneri after Udinese-Milan 0-1:

ALBERTO GILARDINO:
"I'm very happy because it went very well, I came in and I immediately scored, giving the three points to the team. It was truly a great emotion, especially after the week I went through, because I'm an emotional guy and certain things hurt me. The words said by the President filled me with happiness because this means he always has faith in me too.
It was important to win in order to shorten the distance from the fourth place, but it's not enough yet. Now we must think about the away game at Bergamo on Wednesday."

KALADZE:
"I'm very happy for Gilardino because he came in at the right moment and scored at the most appropriate time. I think we will remember this goal for a while because it came after a very important match.
In defence we did not suffer too much, but Udinese are certainly a good team, they're tough, but the whole team played well. Lately we are trying some new solutions with my forward passes and I think they're always important even though today Udinese were very closed up and it was not always possible."

CLARENCE SEEDORF:
"Today we played an excellent match against a valid team like Udinese, which I think deserves a lot of respect. The last ten minutes we tried to go forward more and near the end we managed to rob the ball on the edge of the area, and that led to Gila's goal. The result is important, and I think it's good for our morale. Today we obtained a great victory without risking much and playing intelligent football, with good ball possession. They defended themselves well, but Milan had the right patience. This victory is worth double, and maybe a bit more, both for the quality of our opponent, and because we obtained important points considering results on other pitches. Today you could see Milan are there."

KALAC:
"I'm very happy and proud of the game I played, but the most important thing is that the team won. Udinese are a great team who had more points than us, and with this victory we managed to reduce the distance. With the matches we have to recover as well, I think we can reach a good position. Since I've been at Milan, each year the team starts well after the Christmas break, and that's positive in order to reach our objective, which is the fourth place and to do well in the Champions League.
Now we have the game at Bergamo, a difficult match, but we go there to win and do well like today."

KAKA':
"A match like today's gives great enthusiasm and shows the team are there. We are all very happy for Gilardino, because he scored an important goal both for him and for us. Throughout the match I tried everything to create chances, and in the end it went well because we scored at the last minute. I always say we have to believe in it until the last minute, and we have to try to go for every ball.
Ronaldo played a great match, creating a good move with his long distance shot, too bad he hit the post. He showed is slowly returning to his best.
Wednesday we will go on the pitch against Atalanta, it will be a tough match especially because we won't have the support of the fans which for us is very important. On our part we will try to do our best, things at the moment are going differently, luck is more on our side now."
