Anything that is 7.0.7390.0 and above is Nodo which can't be jail broken at this time unless you unlock using a developer acct or a legit method.

Only other option would be.. if you updated the phone yourself, as apposed to purchasing the phone with Nodo pre-installed, you may be able to roll back to the previous OS version using Zune...then chevron-unlock the device, prevent relock, then update to nodo. That way you have Nodo and a device that is unlocked.

Lets assume I have a developer account and my phone is unlocked. Would microsoft understand if I install some shiny Xbox Live games into it? Just because those games are connected to live account and bla bla bla...

It seems very risky because you are giving your very important personal details to them while activating your account in GeoTrust.

Im not a developer or have a dev acct.. but I would think that your live ID & geotrust account would be tied together. As for installing Live games..I think that it may be possible considering leader boards and such are accessed with your Live ID in mind.

If you want to install a live game thats been patched then I dont think you have to worry about it becuase the 'live' portions if you will are removed in order to make the xap funtion. If any devlopers here have experience, id love for them to give their take on this.

I know that You don't have to use the same profile for your phone and GeoTrust developer program. You can connect to another zune account.

As far as I know, only way you can downgrade is if you can revert with zune (if you upgraded with zune in the first place) or if you can find the original post nodo rom for your phone and flash that. I believe there may be a copy on XDA

To get a student developer account, you will have to create an account with Microsoft Dreamspark then link it to your apphub account.

Dreamspark has many countries supported as well as educational institutions. There are also other ways to verify yourself as a student even if your school is not listed there. Just follow instructions provided on the site.

As for downgrading to nodo, currently, only Mango beta is available. When Mango is officially released, all users including developers will have to downgrade back to nodo before upgrading to official Mango.

Well I unlocked it but it only lets me download like 3 games at once is there any way I can install more at any one time?

Most likely, when you synced with Zune, it detected that your device was an unauthorised developer device.

A simple Google search will guide you on how to prevent Microsoft from relocking your phone.
