Hi everyone,
As the title suggests, I am looking for proof-readers for my upcoming book. It's my first attempt at writing a book. It's about 30% done but I don't wish to carry on making any mistakes (if any) for the rest of it as the correction would be extremely tedious.
As a proof-reader, you need to be able to:
1. Identify punctuation mistakes
2. Spot awkward sentence structures
3. Lookout for spelling errors - Spelling will be based on UK English
4. Have access to google docs. The file will be viewed there.
4. Provide suggestions where applicable
5. Be honest. Do not copy my book and publish it as your own.
I will be offering a 1000 WRZ$ reward (not sure about the market rate so I'm open to negotiations). 250 WRZ$ will be paid upon acceptance of the job. The remaining 750 WRZ$ will be paid upon completion. I'm looking at around 3-5 people.
For those who are keen to assist in proof-reading the entire book (novella-novel length, ~40000 words), there will be an additional 1000 WRZ$ reward to be paid out as the book progresses. Sorry if the payment is not proportional, I can't really afford any more
For now, I am looking at 2 people max for this position.
All WRZ$ will be paid out from my personal balance. I will not abuse moderator privileges to credit user accounts.
I am writing this book to fund my university tuition fees. However, I will release a free copy on mobilism.(with mobilism watermarks to prevent leeching).
All proof-readers will be given a complimentary copy of the book (without watermark).
Proof-readers who have assisted in proof-reading the entire book will receive special mention in the book. (Both free and retail versions)
