That's because FileSonic is a garbage file site. It keeps telling non-paying users that they are already downloading something and cannot download more than 1 file at a time. So FileSonic are really refusing to give people the download file. Rubbish - pleeeeaasseee peeps... stop using this bogus file server. MediaFire, rapidshare, megaupload... but not this awful FileSonic site.

Unless the file sizes are decreased, of course.

You must know that people are making a lot of money uploading to that host. Filesonic not only has the highest Pay-per-download-rates of all file hosting sites that offer money, it also gives a 60% commission when people register for a Premium account through their files. I guess those reasons beat the unfortunate 'side effect' of non-premium users having trouble downloading everytime.

Let's try to keep these conversations in the right place, those posts need no more bumping

thank you for the information wasn't aware of this and very en-lighting.... Shame not all just upload just because it's nice to share...... But am very glad almost all on mobilism do... And THANK YOU to all those that do.......

just a note, i have IDM downloader, i find that when i want to d/l filesonic. i cancel my IDM (press alt) and d/l normally and usually its not so bad.

filesonic does not like idm loaders ...unless you are premium

Filesonic is becoming a huge pain. Viruses are running rampant on it; I've gotten 2 downloading things. I refuse to use it now, no matter how much I want the book.

Im afraid its not just not Filesonic which has viruses, have had viruses downloading stuff off megaupload, rapidshare and upload.to, keeping your anti-virus up to date should stop you getting hit with viruses.

Basically I love both Megaupload and Filesonic and have premium accounts on each, i dont care about making money thru it, just love filling up my kindle with books from this site

But try downloading a file from Mediafire (The primary download link on EVERY one of my releases.) Fast, free, no ads, no hourly limits, no total limits, no mandatory wait times, no ads, no security guestions, no BS! Just a simple easy to use download.

I think the mods on this site should do what is right for the users and BAN FILESONIC links altogether.

There are posters (we know who they are) who make a life from uploading what are sadly great apps to this UNUSABLE site might be making big bucks in this way (and good for them). Usually their second link doesn't work. They probably upload it to some other site and then delete it to make it seem they are genuine uploaders. They are bogus uploaders as the only links they post that work are to FileSonic, and these REQUIRE premium membership to use them.

I have never EVER been allowed to actually download anything! FileSonic is a bogus fileshare website and uploaders who use it are - in effect - FILESONIC AGENTS to sell us that site's premium membership.

Nothing these bogus uploaders post here is actually downloadable to free users of FileShare. So by uploading to FileSonic they are just running a personal business and screwing this site's membership over. It is a scam, pretending to post stuff that cannot be downloaded unless we pay for premium membership at FileSonic.

I wouldn't mind so much if free users could sometimes be allowed to download from FileSonic but as I say, I have NEVER been allowed to download anything. Ther should be a RULE that links must be from genuine file sharing websites that allow FREE downloading. Either the MODS support this website's membership or they support a small minority of money grabbing buggers who only post to FileSonic (and one of them demands that no-one else is allowed to make MIRRORS of his uploads!!! That means he is using this site to make money and screwing us all over in the process. This is INFINITELY worse than it at first seems as it can only bring this site down in the longer run. I can download from Filesonic with the Chrome browser. Doesn't work for me with Firefox. But on my netbook, either browser works. I have gotten a lot of files by downloading from filesonic. I just wait the 15 minutes between file downloads.

Not saying that I like filesonic. I would rather download from zippyshare, mediafire, megaupload, and others. But there is one poster here who posts a lot of really good books and uses filesonic. Don't mess with him LOL!

Only Complaint i have w/ FileSonic. they can be notorius for Corrupting downloads on a slower connection (DSL users this means you!) and on MegaUpload. hit the limit? got a router w/ MAC Cloning? Clone the Mac of Any Wireless or Eithernet device you have.. reset your cable Modem (this doesnt work on DSL.. as DSL is NAT upon NAT in a way you'll still get the same IP.) Blamo! new IP, No wait.

to be honest.. if the file is FileSonic i just dont attemprt to d/l
i will wait till i can get it myself, or other file share.
what i do . I format and post a lot of my own stuff, and i dont look to be paid for it.
i do it because i like to share what i have , not make money out of sharing!!!!!
BTW i have an account with rapid share, but i also use mega (free upload) and im happy with what i have.
as for banning filesonic, im against that as i feel it is the indiviguals choice as to what fileshare he/she uses, and its my choice whether i use it or not

Like the broken record that I am Filesonic and Wupload operate the same way. Bonus’s are obtained by download ratio, the size of said download contributes to the size of the payout along with a significant fee for any new subscribers. The thing is this, they have done their homework well. They are cornering the market, in some cases it is greed and in other cases financial necessity that motivates people to utilize this facility. It makes good business sense, corner the market, make it incredibly difficult and frustrating for free users and in the end, many will ultimately become financial members to simplify things.

I see Filesonic users as a two edged blade, on the one hand, as contributors, they do bring to the party many releases that would take a good deal longer to trickle through, if at all, along with a greater selection. It is this greater selection and regular contribution that insures the continuity of sites such as this. If you give me the shites, I will contribute no more, but these people do not care, they just plod away with hides as thick as leather.

I am in no way in favor of Filesonic and less so with Wupload and those that utilize both…. Well…. I won’t elaborate, but the drift is clear. They are becoming too big and stepping on too many toes, really, I believe it is only a question of time before pressure is bought to bear and the walls come tumbling down. Although I am sure some savey individual will step into the niche and so it will begin again. Tis unfortunately the nature of the beast, there is a market out there and lets face it, we all require an income, therefore I cannot see the point in banning them. It will ultimately create to many issues.

Well I have no issues downloading from filesonic or wupload as a regular user. IDM works sweet with them both. You are aware you can only download filesonic/wupload links by Right clicking on the link then selecting Download with IDM in the menu? If you dont IDM will never work
