This may seem stupid or obvious, but here it is.

If you look up a book on OD and choose Find In All Libraries, you *must* type something in the search box on that page. Duh, right?

My failure was in typing "US" or variations and wondering why no one carried the book I wanted. You have to type "United States" (if that's the area you're searching).

Learn from my foolishness. :D

If you have accounts with at least one Overdrive, or any number of Overdrives, you can make a login with the site, and then in settings add in your libraries. When you do a search for an author or title (or both at the same time) the results will pop up based on your own accounts. I have access to a few Overdrive libraries and I find this is the best solution because I don't have to go into each Overdrive separately to do a search, which takes up considerably more time.

It won't matter which country your Overdrive library is in; if it's in your settings and you're logged in for the search, then results will show up based on your libraries. Sometimes a title will indicate when I click on that library as 'Recommend' so they don't have it in stock.

If you search Find it in all Libraries then if it's in the Overdrive system anywhere in any country I think, then it will appear. I don't know how to localize that kind of search to a particular country.

Yes, I understand. I have an OD acct thru my local library.

The reason I posted my folly is because if a requested book can be found in any library on OD, it increases the chance the request will be fulfilled by someone with access to one of those libraries. But it does no good to input an incorrect search term. :)
