I like Alex Kava's 'Creed' series about a dog handler, his dog, and the mysteries they solve.

I do recommend David Rosenfelt, but dogs seem to be just the trope he uses to introduce the lawyer's cases. I haven't read any of the others, thanks for the info

I agree with there, after the first couple of books the dogs seem to be minor characters in the rest of the stories
