I don't just mean "bad writing by new authors". I mean authors I've never heard of before who suddenly have four (usually, or sometimes three or five) books with bad covers and a generic-sounding plot summary.
The cover art is all similar, and they don't even have the authors' names on the covers.
I looked at one, and the writing has an absolutely enormous amount of space-filler in it -- page after page of "character stats" and "I'm rolling my character now" and "how many hit points". I get that LitRPG books sometimes do that, a little bit every few chapters as the main character tries to figure out how to do something, but not nearly as much as this one; I'm scrolling through multiple pages in my browser that are just filled with this crap.
I'm guessing that this is all one individual, or one publishing house, using an AI novel-generating program to flood tons of books onto the market. The covers, too -- it isn't even hard to generate good covers now thanks to StableDiffusion, but these aren't even up to what SD1.5 can do.
Anyone know more about this?
