i just recently got a copy of an audiobook of Greg Bear's Halo: Silentium from Audible for a friend. I was wondering if anyone here knows a reliable way of cracking the DRM on newer Audible audiobooks. I am familiar with the ripping and burning technique, but I'm just fishing for any other possible solutions. BTW, I intend to upload this book when/if I eventually crack it.

Total Audio Converter will convert to mp3 for you, but you can't use the .aax file (enhanced audio) you have to go a step down (the #4 quality which is mp3 quality). Then once you have the mp3 file, if you want to make an .m4b for use on many audio book players including iTunes (iOS devices) use Chapter and Verse to separate the chapters and add information to and create the file. Works very nicely as I have done it many times
